I would agree- we just finished a Scholastic book fair yesterday and we gave
the student/staff the best deal possible.

For example, I purchased 400 dollars worth for the library but it only cost
me 200 dollars.

Sales were hot and the students loved the posters and other stuff for sale.

Subject: Re: Scholastic Buy One Get One

Before I replied to the post from the classroom teacher upset about being
charged for the four most expensive books and getting the four cheapest
free, I called my Scholastic Rep who told me that they simply advertise
Buy One Get One of Equal or Lesser Value Free and that how to do that is
left to interpretation. (We're having a BOGOF next year so I wanted to be
sure!) However, she would strongly recommend the chairperson show some
common sense and group the books according to price to give the customer
the best deal possible. So, Classroom Teacher, if you wanted the books,
go back to the sale and have the chairperson call her sale rep. I hate
thinking that the library will lose out on your sale because the sales
person wasn't thinking clearly.
