You may have just closed the Quick Launch toolbar. Try right clicking on the
taskbar and there should be a Toolbars menu. If it's open, but empty, you'll
have to manually replace the shortcuts and possible the folder as well. The
folder should be in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer.
There's a copy of the Show Desktop application in C:\Windows\System that you
can copy into the folder to get that back. (Can you tell I've had a few
renovations by students?)***********************************************
