"respect for authority" books

Had a request for a middle school fiction book with a theme "respect for
authority."   Authority could be parents, teachers, an older relative,
etc.
 So many middle school books are about coming of age or standing up
against those in authority for a variety of reasons.  This is for a
middle school boy.   Any suggestions?
