Okay List, Here's the answer - title! It has also been brought to my attention that Gale and some of the other publishers don't necessarily catalog it the right way. Ceil -----Original Message----- From: Freda, Cecelia C Sent: Friday, May 16, 2003 10:11 AM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: basic cataloging question Our books are coming in from vendors catalogued in two different ways, and unfortunately I cannot put my hand on my AACR II Cataloging rules. For an editorial work should the call number be Dewey plus 3 letters of main editor OR Dewey plus 3 letters of Title? Thanks.
