Re: School Board thinks I'm paid too much

I somehow missed the original message about firing a 50,000 employee and
replacing her with an employee for $30,000.  I believe that union or not,
that is hightly illegal.  My heart aches hearing all the stories from people
in power who do not value other workers who are not as powerful.  Our board
of education is going through a phase where they do not want to pay us any
raise, and also want to cut our planning time...and maybe even extend our
work day, that is for all teachers.
Am I just noticing the meanness of people in power because of my age
(wonderful 50's) or are people really becoming more insensitive to each
other?

Also, my response to firing a hard working media specialist with well earned
$50,000 and replacing it with a worker who would earn only $30,000....why not
fire the Superintendent who probably makes well over $100,000 and replace her
or him with someone who would only get $80,000?
