Greetings, =20 I apologize if this is a duplicate post. I'm not sure if this e-mail was = distributed yesterday because it was returned to me with a cryptic = message about having already been sent.=20 =20 I need help with this. I have been asked to recommend a novel with a = lower reading level to round out the offerings for a literature circle = with the theme of "a changing world" to be conducted in 8th grade next = year. The other novels it will accompany are: ATree Grows in Brooklyn by = Betty Smith, Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns, (the higher level = ones) and Nothing to Fear by Jackie French Koller. It should appeal to = the reluctant reader, be set in that same time period (early 1900s), and = depict strong family life. =20 Does such a book exist?=20 =20 Thank you for your help. I'll post a hit with any replies I receive. =20 =20 Diane Norby, Library Media Teacher Hopkinton Middle School Hopkinton, MA=20 =20 <mailto:dnorby@hopkinton.k12.ma.us> dnorby@hopkinton.k12.ma.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
