This year, I completed a rather extensive weeding of my school's
collection, getting rid of over 2000 materials (about 20% of the
collection.) My husband has heard me talk about the work I did and the
"junk" I found.

We're expecting our first child next month and have some cleaning out
of the room we're going to put our newborn son in. Last week, he told me
we need to weed the books and get rid of the old stuff.

As I was chuckling to myself, I asked him where he ever learned a word
like weeding!
