We recently had a guest speaker at our school who offered a couple of "mind benders" that he called "callabrans" (maybe misspelled). An example is: A plane crashes on the Mexican/U.S. border. Where do you bury the survivors? OR How many 4 cent stamps in a dozen? An English teacher can't find a reference to this word in the dictionaries and is unfamiliar with the term the speaker used. Does anyone know a term for these kind of puzzles? I have tried various spellings without luck and while I am familiar with the puzzle type, never knew there was an actual term applied. Anyone have any information about these? This teacher already thinks I am an outstanding "librarian" and so this information will just help my image some more. TIA. Carole A.
