A little thought to cheer you up

As your school year winds down, and the dull grey days of winter overtake us
DownUnder, many are reflecting and feeling unloved, unwanted and
misunderstood.  We seem to be constantly having to justify our existence,
fight budget and staff cuts and seek understanding of the contribution we
make to the education of the kids.

I have decided that much of the problem is that we are the change agents -
we are out there breaking down the barriers because we can see the vision on
the other side.  When we have made the hole big enough for those behind us
to get a glimpse, then they follow us through.  It's just that sometimes the
barriers seem to be brick walls and our battering rams are our heads!

So instead of seeing ourselves as the bottom end of the food chain, we need
to see ourselves at the top!  Take comfort in knowing that what we do will
make a difference and be glad that we have the vision to see the future and
the ability and determination to make it real.
