There are a few different ways to solve this: 1. could go back to 4.7, but the coding and some features in 4.7 are not real standard and will cause pages to look very different depending on what browser and or version the users have. Probably a good thing to move to 7 2. If pages have a similar look and feel, choose one of the older pages as a template. Should be easy to copy /paste the new info in. 3. Open an old page and open view source (or view as html) You could do this either in Composer or in your browser of choice. Then do a 'find' for font; you should find a line that looks like this <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> though the font names may be different. Copy that. Find the similar line in the new pages, delete and replace. Probably the easiest if there are only a few pages and you don't anticipate making many more or lots of changes 4. Look at some of the freeware / shareware HTML text editors. A great backup when the wysiwyg editor really messes up. Lots of times faster to make changes (like find and replace, so you can fix a bunch of stuff (table size, font color, font size, font, etc) at once. They can also help with CSS and other more advanced features that will be of benefit. 5. Try downloading something like dreamweaver or GoLive for a free trial. Most have educator prices (or there may be a state/district buy) that are very good. They can also help with CSS and other more advanced features that will be of benefit. 6. A bit too complicated for all the details here, but create an external (linked) CSS file. You can change appearance features on it and have it change every page in your site. Great if you are planning a lot of changes and a fair amount of growth. In any case, be careful about what fonts you use, something like Comic Sans really does effect how people percieve the site. Using only one font name and or not offering a family choice may have unintended consequences when viewers are on different, or older operating systems. I've done 30% of it using a specific font (which I believe to be a common font). Recently I downloaded Netscape 7.0 and it no longer allows me to choose any font--I am limited to three. Do any of you know how to add my original font to the list so everything is consistent? -- Wendy Agocs Media Specialist Hamilton Community Schools Hamilton, MI 49419 wagocs@remc7.k12.mi.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
