Dear Barbara and others,

a few years ago, in the not too distant past, I was "harrassing" my
principal for about the 4th time in as many days.  I can't remember if I was
on my soapbox sprouting forth about staffing, budgets, or maybe flexible
scheduling.  But I can recall that well-known feeling that includes
analogies to water and duck's backs.

Anyway, as his eyes narrowed, he took a deep breath and said "You're a
change agent".  To this day, I don't know whether it was meant to be a
compliment - or an accusation.
