Tech: In-house peer technology support groups

 I would like to hear from media specialists who are part of an in-house tech 
support group (peer support for technical issues and helping to share ideas)  or 
from media specialists who facilitate/manage an in-house tech support group.   I'm 
interested in hearing about peer, colleagial support groups among teachers and 
other staff, not about the work that technicians and network specialists do.

 Do you pay your support groups? What sorts of things do they do?  What do you do 
to facilitate/manage these peer support groups
