Textbook inventory

Hi Everyone,

I just finished with my first used book sale. Here at Catholic students buy their 
books. We have a used book sale with books that students turn in for credit for 
thier textbooks for next year. After the book sale is done a tally is taken from 
how many books we have left. My question is do you guys know of or have a system 
that you use to take inventory using barcodes and ie barcode scanner for textbook 
inventory? My principal told me today she could not buy a textbook program this 
year, but if I came up with something that would be fine. I use Library Pro for the 
Library Catalog, I called them today to see if I can use LP for inventory purposes.

Do you guys use free, created by yourself programs or anything to do inventory for 
textbooks?

Any suggestions, please. Thank you
