I order BTSB for those books that I think will be heavily used or
abused(!),usually many of my E books and the hugely popular series =
books,
like The Series of Unfortunate Events and all of the Harry Potter books,
among others. BTSB is the "18 hour bra" of binding! (In case you're old
enough to remember those commercials.) But, that said, I don't buy
everything BTSB. All things being equal, check prices and other =
bindings,
such as Permabound.

BTSB bindings aren't always illustrator-friendly. I heard Tomie DePaola =
give
a talk once about how bindings cut off the gutter, and if he had wanted =
the
gutter cut off he would have designed it that way.
