Tech: Kodak digital easy share camera

I have the above digital camera (about 3 months old) and it has worked great.
 I also have the kodak easy share dock where I set the camera in, press the
button and the picture magically go from the camera to the computer.

It worked great yesterday.  tonight, I asked my husband to take the camera
upstairs to the living room and snap a few picture of my Harry Potter shrine so
I could send them to my sister-in-law, who works with a Harry Potter nut.

So, he takes a few shots, comes back, and gives me the camera.  I turn it to
off, as we have always done, set it in the dock, and press the button.  No
transfer window opens, nothing happens, except that the little screen in back of
the camera comes on and the green light in back blinks.  In fact, it is still
blinking.

okay, so i right-click on the little kodak easy share icon in the bottom
right corner of the monitor screen and select "transfer now" option.  All i get is
a window that tell me
"A connected device could not be found.  connect a device and click refresh."

So, I check all connections.  Everything is connected just fine.  So I
unconnect and reconnect, with the same results.  The Kodak help screens are useless.
 It tells you how to "do things" but not how to fix things if they are not
doing what they're supposed to.  I can find no tech support numbers or email
address on the kodak easyshare website.


anyway, does anyone have one of these things who might know what is wrong?
