Ruler of the Courtyard by Rukhsana Khan (2003) -k-3 picture book.
Haveli by Suzanne Fisher Staples (novel 200 pages +)
Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind by Suzanne Fisher Staples (200+ novel)
Nadia's Hands by Karen English (picture book k-3) this one is set in
America but is about a Pakistan-American girl who has her hands
painted for her aunt's wedding with mehndi -- a tradition in Pakistan
households both in Pakistan and in America homes with those of
Pakistan descent.
