Hello all, Before I schlep these things to the repair shop maybe someone out there knows what's wrong. This morning my PC (an IBM purchased in '99) was fine, around noon it starting making what I call "grinding" or "growling" noises (sort of like the car engine trying to turn over when the battery's about shot). It seems to work just fine except for the noise. The other problem is with my HP printer (same age as PC). It only wants to print in black and pink. I've replaced the cartridge which didn't help and checked the settings which seem okay. Any ideas? Or should I just plan on buying new stuff.
