Soon-to-be elementary Library Media Specialist

Hi everyone!  This is my first time posting to LM_NET.  I am a graduate
student and will be finishing up my degree in December. I plan on working in
an elementary school next fall.  I was wondering if any of you had any
suggestions for a soon-to-be library media specialist?  i.e.  "I wish I had
done this before I started!"  or "If only I had known..."  I would like to
spend the spring organizing my resources that I have collected and preparing
for the fall.  Unfortunately, the only thing I know about my potential
school is that it will be elementary.
