If the library is having a bigger problem with this than other areas of =
the
building, it may pay to look at the differences. Sometimes a small =
change in
layout, making screens more visible, closer to teacher space, etc can =
solve
or reduce the problem.

Try also posting rules (done positive, not neg), making clear =
expectations
and consequences, and closer monitoring for a while. The ID card or =
checkout
system lends credibility to that monitoring.

Check the history file periodically and you can see which sites are
generating the popups. If they don't fit the district AUP, make sure the
users know that.

And remember, it is probably only a very small group that need dealing =
with
on a punitive basis. Most know how, or learn quickly, how to act in a =
safe,
responsible manner.=20
