Re: B & N teacher discounts

I've found this discussion quite interesting.  About 5 years ago I was at
summer school in a large city away from home.  I was in B & N and asked
for the discount.  Also was told that librarians were NOT teachers.  A
week later was in ... different sales person ... complained about the
policy ... this sales person made a face, rolled her eyes,  "Well, I'll
give it to you... I'm an elementary teacher, librarians are CERTAINLY
teachers!"  From then on, I learned my lesson, I always say I am a
teacher... after all my MD. certificate says "teacher" on it... and I just
show my staff ID card ...which does not show any further department
designation on it.
