I was wondering what topics have been the most successful for specific grades (K-5) for teaching traditional report writing in your media centers? I'm trying to come up with a list of more grade appropriate and motivating topics to teach some basic paragraphing skills/report writing skills to help other media specialists. I'm more interested in the topics being used rather than the process (Big Six, etc). Traditionally First Grade has done a big animal report, Fourth Grade a State project, etc, etc. Any topics/grade levels you've had great success with please let me know.
