I use the circulation system Alexandria. It is so easy to publish Alex to the web. In the Alex preferences just list the library's server/data station static IP address and the OPAC can be used by any computer with Internet access in the district. I did just this and for a few days it worked just fine, but it has since stopped and I new get a Novell Broder manager error with a time out message saying we could not connect with the origin server. Thousands of libraries around the country use Alex so I know the problem is not with the program, it has to be a problem with our network set up. I have a meeting today at 3:00 with one of our network guys. Do you have any advice for us? What might we look at that would point us in the right direction to fix this problem? If it helps, we use eMacs running OSX or G4s running OS 9.2.2 as our servers/data stations and have the problem in all three of our elementary schools. Thanks so much!
