I am looking for a "job description" for a "district copyright officer". If anyone has such a thing to share with me, I would be most grateful. Our district wants to appoint a "district copyright officer" and they are looking at me for that "honor" (no pay involved I am sure!). I just attended Carol Simpson's wonderful presentation on copyright - and it reinforced my initail reaction to this proposal which was - "Why on earth would I ever want to do that?!!" Obviously, I am already a copyright consulant, as we all are, and am happy to continue in that role. what I need is something to clarify the difference between a copyright officer and a copyright consultant. Thanks in advance for your help! Jacquie "The Librarian, whose job is to heal ignorance, to keep life safe for poetry and to put knowledge smack dab in the middle of the American way."
