Gee, I don't even wear heels during that time! And in 2 years I have worn a skirt
twice (night conferences, open house)! Not that I don't own them, but the majority
of shelves are low and I have to stoop a lot.

As I see the weather getting warmer, I wonder what the girls are going to be
wearing on their feet (the 3-5th graders mostly) rather, how can they be allowed to
go to school wearing high heels like that???

As for the professionals, I see some things as the weather gets marmer that boggle
the mind. I don't think we have a specific dress code, but there'll be a chnage of
principals next year- I wonder what she'll do, if anything yet? I remember the
"First Day of School" video that I watched and the author maintains that dressing
profesionally automatically creates the mood of "I am the teacher," and there are
of course other steps to follow after that. And this goes for men and women.

Once the (young) teachers know their classes, I am sure that the teachers have a
plan of how they can dress. But as the teachers seem to get younger in my school,
some of them seem to think that flip flops with toe rings are establishing a sense
of authority :-).

Just my $ .02,

Kim
