>"heels" ... I would hope no dress code requires them. For public places, like public schools, etc., nothing in a dress code is legal unless it applies to everyone. Therefore, heels, "hose"/pantyhose/stockings, are out. Long-sleeve shirts and ties can be required, but have to be worn by women, too. Private schools can require whatever they want. My hope is that everyone who has to adhere to a dress code has benevolent management that has made the dress code climate-appropriate.
