> The dress code here is very informal. (What do you expect in = California?) Administrators tend to dress more formally - sports jacket = and dress pants for the men (and a tie when there is an IEP), skirts and = dresses for women. Staff wear everything from nice pants or skirts to = blue jeans and shorts. >=20 > I tend to wear slacks or nice jeans (not faded, no holes) and either a = long-sleeved shirt or turtleneck and soft cotton jacket or sweater (in = winter) or short sleeved shirt with a long sleeved button down shirt or = soft cotton jacket in the summer (think LLBean or Land's End). I usually = wear walking type shoes (Rockports) with the slacks. I do have a couple = of jumpers, which I occasionally wear with dressier flats and knee-high = hose (this usually prompts one of my sons to ask why I am so dressed = up). >=20 > I usually wear long sleeves even in summer because the AC here tends = to run really cold. Plus, my hands and feet are almost always cold (my = doctor suspects and I have Raynauds Phenomenon) As a result, I cannot = wear sandals or stappy shoes in AC--my feet absolutely freeze. I have a = fellow staff member who will check my hands to see if I am with the = living (yes, they get that cold)=20 >=20 > I think the only time I have worn shorts to school was during the = summer (I'm a 12 month employee) when it was 95 degrees and the AC = wasn't working--one of the few times my hands and feet weren't cold! >=20 > Elizabeth Hart > Library Technical Assistant > California School for the Blind > Fremont, CA 94536 > ehart@csb-cde.ca.gov >=20 =3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D=3D-=3D-=3D- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
