Oh wise ones!
We had purchased for us digital camcorders, Sharp model VL-Z1U. We
have Pinnacle Studio 9 software and a firewire cable to connect the two.
The computer doesn't appear to be recognizing the camcorder for
downloading video for editing. When we go into the control panel and
look at the hardware list, a digital camera shows up and the Sharp is
the only one connected to the PC. However, when we go into "My
Computer," there's no camcorder. When we try to capture in Pinnacle, we
can't find the camcorder. Any ideas (other than get a Mac)?
