Happy Holidays, About 4 years ago, my school system purchased McMillan's basal reader for grades 3-5 that had AR tests for each story. The AR tests have been downloaded for grades 3 & 5. However, the disk was lost or misplaced for my 4th graders. The 4th grade teacher did not realize that a disk of AR tests were provided until I brought it to her attention. Now that my school is pushing AR, we would like to download the tests. I wanted to borrow the 4th grade disk from another school in our district, but we are uncertain of copyright regulations. If I borrowed the AR disk from another school, would I be violating copyright laws? The school name is printed on each disk, but the AR tests are the same. I didn't think it would violate copyright if the school system purchased the tests, but the media specialist at my neighboring school is not certain. Could someone please advise me of my options?
