Wendy -
When you teach library skills you teach Life Skills. First graders who know how to
find a book by the author will be able to do that for the rest of their lives.
It isn't hard to figure out an author, if there is a catalog. And if you HAVE to
know an author it becomes part of your routine and therefore not too hard.
Stick to the plan. It works.
