I would like to correspond with those of you who live in the southeast region of Kansas (specifically the Winfield or Burden area) and who have used companies who do foundation work in that areas. My family owns property in that region of Kansas. Back in the 1960's, my grandparents had a free-standing, double car garage constructed of native rock and stone from the farm. In the last year, we have noticed cracks that are developing due to the shifting of the earth as well as temperature extremes. As a result, the casings for the garage doors do not fit properly now. There are other problems that are developing as a result of these cracks. I know from my research that there are different types of foundation systems that work better than others for different regions of the United States. That's why I would like to visit with those of you who have actually had work done to see what works best. Please respond to me privately off-list at my home e-mail address listed below. Thanks for your help and advice with this matter.
