MLA Handbook (5.9.1) says "...give instead the URL of the site's search page...". We could also discuss why notecards are being used, or at least why student has to transcribe URL onto them. That tinyurl with one tiny error would send the student or the reader way off in trying to revisit the page. Wouldn't copy/pasting URL, other bib data, and relevant quotes into a word processor doc be faster and more accurate? And pretty similar to photocopying page, writing bib info on back, and highlighting data.
