If your scanner has worked fine in the past it may or may not be your
problem. You may want to investigate what has changed on your network (if
you are networked) or whether any other software has been upgraded on you
machine. It could even be caused by a virus if you use your machine for
Internet access.
I would start by doing a complete virus scan and doing some hard drive
maintenance. (scan disk and defrag)
I have Follett's circ software on a Novell network. I do have problems,
especially while using the reports module while circulating at the same
time. I notice the problems become more and more frequent until I take the
time and do the maintenance on the hard drive.
Unfortunately school district networks are made up of bid items that may not
be the highest quality.

Quite frequently while using Follett's Circulation + program, the
computer freezes, and will not even reboot with restart or complete shut
down. The tech guy seems to think it is the scanner and has suggested I
