Valerie Grimes, Reading Specialist Creighton School, Phoenix, AZ valjeang@cox.net re: Inspiration Carol, Our teachers have this on their classroom computers and I don't know exactly all the ways they use it. In the library, students we work with use it to keep track of characters in novels when they are having trouble keeping track of everyone. They enter the character's name and surround it with key info. They then print and keep the sheet or sheets in their book. Many of them leave the sheets in the books in case the next reader would want to use it. It's extremely easy to use, motivational for kids and we have both Inspirations and Kid's Inspirations. I've never been aware of the need for tech support. We have also used it when teaching lessons on genres or other literary elements. Students put the topic in the center and surround it with the key points about the topic. They print and keep it in their folders. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
