Original Request: A teacher just asked for a book suggestion to go with her Hinks Pinks lessons... any thoughts? Answers: - A Huge Hog Is A Big Pig: A Rhyming Word Game by Francis McCall and Patricia Keeler. It's nothing more than photographs of animals in funny predicaments with the hink pink on the next page so you have to try to figure it out from the picture eg. Soggy doggy. - Double Trouble in Walla Walla, Andrew Clements - One Sun by Bruce Macmillan. It's a book of terse verse, or "visual" Hinks Pinks. - Capstone or ABDO one has a series of books on this, including hinkie pinkie, etc. There are 4 or 6 books in the set. They are great. I use them on the morning show for jokes. If a HinkPink is the same as a "stinky pinky" check out this link from my Poetry Web Page http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/teachwell/rhybudpage.htm sorry, no book to suggest, but there are LOTS of them on that site.
