I just received my first issue of Black Girl Magazine here in my library.

May I say EXCELLENT!?

The March 2004 issue has book reviews, Interviews with Murphy Lee, Bow Wow, & Actor 
Nick Cannon.  Also has poetry & a short story by young teen writers, a story on the 
Emmett Till case, and the ads are for books, and/or for anti-drug/smoking.  also 
info on scholarships, contests, careers.

Check it out--a great selection for grades 5 and up.

Very positive, very inspiratinoal (not in a religious sense).  I am buying 
subscriptions for my nieces!

EVERY single African American girl should have this magazine!!
