GEN: LM_NET Logo Contest Deadline Is Wednesday, March 10

Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

The number of entries has been stable for a few days, so I am reposting
the announcement. BTW-- Please  note that all entries must be completely
free of copyrighted materials (e.g., no artwork that is copyrighted can be
used.) Here is the original announcement:

Do you have an idea or a design in mind for the new LM_NET logo?  Have you
thought of a great "tag line" that sums up the LM_NET experience?  If so,
now is the time to act!  Submit your design entry to the LM_NET Logo
Contest!

To have your design included, please send an attached jpeg of your design
to this e-mail address: PMilbury@iis.syr.edu by Wednesday, March 10.

All submissions will be posted on the LM_NET Logo Contest page

A winner will be selected by the Logo Committee by March 22.

All participants will receive a special logo gift and the designer of the
chosen logo will receive a shirt of their choice!

Here are a few more specifics:

* The contest is open only to LM_NET members.
* Designs may be either reflective or digital art
* Final design should not exceed 8" x  8"
* Designs may include any number of colors (4 color process)
* Entries must be received by March 10 and should be sent as a jpeg
* All entries become property of LM_NET
* Final design is subject to reasonable alteration to accommodate
production needs
* Submissions must be free of any copyrighted images/materials
* Winning design will need to be supplied to Highsmith by March 22

Watch for more details on this exciting contest as the designs start
rolling in.

Products with the new LM_NET logo will be available in mid-May!
