Good morning In Australia we have a number of authors such as Paul Jennings and Andy Griffiths who have turned writing short stories about the gross and grotty (like nose-picking, flatulence and the like) into an art form that particularly appeals to reluctant-reader boys. In some of his books, Roald Dahl achieved the same thing and I am curious about other UK or US or Canadian or wherever authors who have had the same sort of success. I am writing a book for the American Library Association and I need to quote authors who are familiar to you, so if you can help me out I would be grateful.
