I have NEVER felt any movie has fulfilled any book in any way, especially a book I love. That said, I saw HP and the Prisoner on opening day, as is my custom. I enjoyed the experience because, IMHO, ANY Harry is better than no Harry at all until that next book comes out. The hype around each movie helps to create new HP readers--especially those just coming into the grade 4 up age bracket that the books were intended for. The first HP (book) fans are now in college, remember. Even when I see a live Shakespeare performance, if the performance is dreadful, I take the attitude that Shakespeare done badly is much better than anything else done well. Attitude is everything!
