I loved Prisoner of Azkaban. I read the book once when it came out and barely
remember it, unlike my sons who can practically recite all the the books
word-for-word. Even so, they liked the movie as well. My fifteen year old stated,
"It's different but the same. The first two needed to be real close to the
books, but the books are getting longer, so this movie assumed that you knew all
the background, social stuff and got right to major plot points."

As for the negative threads. I found them interesting. It's someone's
opinion. I still read books which were reviewed negatively; sometimes I end up
agreeing with the review, sometimes not, but I have still had the experience for
myself. And critics do skewer movies that do go on to become blockbuster hits
despite horrendous reviews.

"I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the
set, I go into the other room and read a book." ~ Groucho Marx
