Dear Fellow LM_Netters,

This past week I had to take early retirement from my position as
librarian/teacher in a 7-12 school where I have happily worked for the past
29 years due to increasing symptoms from a chronic illness that was
diagnosed 10 years ago. I am looking forward to regular vacation time this
summer but know that when Aug. 25th rolls around, and I know that teachers
are returning to their classrooms, I will wish that I could be there with
them. I can't be, so what to do? At our farewell dinner, my response to
the question "What are you going to do with your free time?" was "Well, I
haven't had any responses to my applications for work as a topless dancer
so guess I'll have to see if I can find some computer work that I can do at
home." (Other retirees were saying things like "I have nothing planned."
or "I don't know yet." which sounded oh so boring to me.) Jaws dropped but
then the laughter began, thank goodness. I will be going in for a few
hours this Friday then that will unfortunately be that.

Any ideas for work that I can do at home? I have been very impressed with
the information and help you folks have provided over the years so hope you
will have some ideas for me now. If you can think of anything, please send
info to me at my e-mail address at home stow424@together.net Thank you
very much!

Sincerely,

Shirley Towne, Librarian
