For anyone going to ALA - the art teacher at my school is receiving the
Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe award for a new illustrator. He has
been working very hard on his speech. If you get a chance to see any of
his art work, don't miss it. His illustrations are all done with cut
paper. They are amazing. If you hear his speech, could you please let
me know how he did. School is over and I won't see him for a time. His
book is My Family Plays Music and he does great autographs in his book
- not just a signature.
