Exit project ideas for Art Appreciation

A 5th grade teacher in my building is doing a culminating exit project
revolving around art appreciation.  It contains a piece on community
service, which will be to purchase and frame some posters of "famous" art
pieces (just paintings, etc.).  they'll also be doing a reflection/reaction
piece and a written report on the artist and the work.  Do any of you know
of any great resources that could be used with this project?  I apologize
for the vague nature of this question, but we're still at pretty much the
brainstorming step and I hoped for some inspiration and ideas from the
greater brain of LM_NET.
