I'm preparing a handout to give teachers when scheduling a library visit: Tips for a Successful Library Visit. While we do quite a few collarborative projects these days we still have those who come to do their own thing or who come for group STAR testing, etc. Some teachers prepare their students well. They know why they've come to the library. They have daily goals to meet and stay on task to meet those goals. And they come prepared with something to do in the event there is some down time (e.g. 30 students come to STAR test on 17 computers). And, well, some teachers don't prepare. They're less organized than the more successful teachers -- and their behavior management skills aren't as well honed. I'm asking my better prepared teachers to provide some input and I'm asking those of us here who might be interested to share some ideas too. What would you put on a list of "Tips for a Successful Library Visit" ?? Thanks for your input. I'll share a hit/and/or finished product. Joni J.
