MID: Book appropriateness

Does anyone have the title, "Like Sisters on the Homefront" by Rita
Garcia-Williams in their middle school collection?  It's well reviewed
and has Coretta Scott King honors, but some sections, taken out of
context, may be objectionable.  What are your thoughts on this title?
