I got the word that this school is presently interviewing for Librarian position. It's a really nice place with a long and very positive history. If interested fax your resume or call. PS 6 K-5 45 EAST 81 STREET NEW YORK, NY 10028 Tel: (212) 737-9774 Fax: (212) 772-8669 DAN FEIGELSON, Principal Our Mission PS 6 is a school that strives for a balance between process-oriented instruction and the skills and strategies good educators have always valued. Teachers teach programs that are an outgrowth of their staff development and their own collaborative process across and within grades. At PS 6 we believe that the best instruction comes from good modeling, and that this must happen on two levels. First, teachers use their own writing process, mathematical thinking, and reading comprehension to model specific strategies for students. Second, the fact that staff are deeply involved in furthering their own practice and continuing their own learning provides a model for students to do the same. PS 6 teachers are more interested in the success of all students as individuals than they are in completing specific programs from beginning to end.
