My principal has requested a list of good novels that could be used as = the basis for a fifth-grade reading class next year. We have several = fourth grade students who actually will complete fifth grade reading = this year. He does not want them repeating the fifth grade text, nor = does he want them moving on to the sixth-grade text (since they will use = that the following year in middle school). He would like to have a = special literature-based class for these students. I have given him = some titles off the top of my head but would like to see if any of you = have any suggestions. I would be happy to post a hit if others are = interested. Thanks so much for your help! Lily M.
