GEN: After hour’s library services

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to gather some information regarding after school library hours=
 for a graduate class I=92m taking. A neighboring town does not have a loca=
l public library. Therefore, for this project, I would like to come up with=
 a plan for extending the hours of the school library to serve the communit=
y after school. I was thinking about opening the school library to the comm=
unity 2 nights a week, and maybe Saturday=92s and summers.

Do any of you have a program similar to this in place? Information I need i=
ncludes: what steps to take to do this, staffing, and issues that may with =
this type of program. While this project is hypothetical right now (for lea=
rning purposes), it could be used in the future, as I would love to impleme=
nt such a program when I get a job as a School Library Media Specialist.
