Library Assistant Job Description

I am looking for help writing a job description for my library assistants.
I am assigned to serve two elementaries with full-time library assistants
that also are assigned other duties.  Most of my time at each school is
spent teaching library skills.

Currently there is no job description and the principals responded to what
their duties are was basically up to the librarian.  I would appreciate any
sugestions as to how to approach writing the job descriptions or samples of
job descriptions.
