Fresno Program Elimination Update

I want to thank all the terrific members of this listserv who have
emailed our board members. I have thanked them individually and am now
thanking them publicly.

We are facing a board meeting tomorrow night. Like the folks in San
Diego, our board is planning to adopt a resolution proclaiming
observance of April as School Library Media Month. "The theme this year
is '@the Library'. " The irony and blatant hypocrisy are stunning. We
will not quietly go away. We will be attending in force with our music
teachers. We have leaflets, posters, testimonials, parents, students,
and other teachers set to pack our board meeting. We will be making a
lot of positive noise. We have just begun our fight!
