OT: Travel info-NC/SC

My family will be heading to the Outerbanks (we've promised the kids they can
go to Kitty Hawk) and will work our way down to Myrtle Beach for spring
break.  I've done some net searching, been to the library to check out travel
books... but I'd appreciate some personal recommendations.  Any suggestions for
places to stay, eat, sites to see?
